Companies and organizations throughout Middlesex County participated in a community-wide LIVE UNITED DAY on and leading up to Friday, February 13th by raising money and other resources to help the community. Donations are still arriving - we will report the final tally soon!

The effort officially kicked off at Middlesex United Way's Annual Meeting on January 29th when all those attending were asked to bring a pack of disposable diapers. Nearly 5,300 diapers were collected that morning alone! Comcast contributed two trucks and drivers to collect the diapers that morning and deliver them to the WIC office in Middletown.

At the Annual Meeting, guests were asked to help on LIVE UNITED DAY in one of several ways: hold a dress down day at their company to raise extra funds for United Way; run a diaper drive; run a food drive; volunteer individually or as a group; or be a 2-1-1 champion by distributing 2-1-1 materials or adding a link on their website.

It's not too late to participate. If your group is interested in running a food or diaper drive, being a 2-1-1 champion, or volunteering at a nonprofit agency, please call us at 860.346.8695. Anything you do, no matter how small, really makes a difference and helps those in need.
