It's Our 75th Anniversary in 2010

Our 75th anniversary kicked off on January 26th with the Annual Meeting at the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station. Patti Anne Vassia received the prestigious Community Service Award and past volunteers and leaders were honored. We also announced that the first-ever Born Learning Trail in Middletown would be installed at Snow School in April, thanks to Comcast. View a slide show of photos from the event on our flickr page >>
Born Learning Trail The Born Learning Trail creates valuable community resources for early childhood learning, and offers opportunities for visibility and vounteer engagement. These fun, physical learning activities are designed for parents or caregivers to play with young children in any outdoor setting.
At our Annual Meeting and 75th Anniversary Celebration, Executive Director Kevin Wilhelm announced Middlesex United Way's first trail installation and the hope to get more trails installed in other towns in the county. Comcast is generously sponsoring the first Born Learning Trail, and its employees will install it on Comcast Cares Day in April.
If your company, organization or town would be interested in sponsoring and installing a Born Learning Trail, download information here or contact Maria at United Way, maria.demarest@middlesexunitedway.org.

Watch for us at an event near you! Throughout our anniversary year you'll be seeing a lot of us as we take this beautiful bright red 1935 Buick out and about Middlesex County. We'll be at parades and fairs in every town. Look for us and stop by and say 'hi!'
