Give to the 2010 Diaper Appeal
Babies and young children are at their most vulnerable during the early years. You can help by donating to the 2010 Diaper Appeal, sponsored by United Way and Middlesex Coalition for Children.
Last year we collected 20,000 diapers. This year our goal is 50,000. All diapers will be distributed through WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and Maternal and Child Health programs at Middlesex Hospital.
Although Mother's Day has passed there is still time to donate in honor of your father! When you do, we will send a card to them informing him of your generous contribution on his behalf. Click on the links to view a sample card for Mother's Day or Father's Day.
There are four ways you can participate:
-
Make a donation to the Diaper Appeal in honor of your mother or father. In cooperation with The Connecticut Diaper Bank, we are able to purchase diapers at cost to be distributed locally. Download an appeal/donation form >>
-
For $10 you can diaper a baby for one week
-
For $45 you can diaper a baby for one month
-
For $275 you can diaper a baby for 6 months
-
Organize a diaper drive at your company or organization. Collect packages of disposable diapers from your members, colleagues, or the public. Diapers can be delivered to 29 Crescent Street in Middletown between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. the week of May 10. It's that simple!
-
Ask your colleagues at work, organization members or neighbors to make a donation to honor their mother or father. Use the appeal/donation form above to help promote the effort. We will send a card to their mother or father informing them of the contribution.
-
If you cannot run a diaper drive, then make a contribution from your company or organization. Your money couldn't be better spent!
