As the holidays approach, we share more time with family and friends and appreciate what we have. We also remember those in need who are not as fortunate as we may be. There are many ways that you can help make the season a little brighter for children, families, and the elderly in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy creates a Holiday Wish List with a wide range of opportunities to support nonprofit organizations from Thanksgiving through Three King's Day on January 6th. Needs include gifts, volunteers, and financial contributions for the holidays, and a "big wish" item that is not specific to the holidays but would greatly help the nonprofit agency.
Participating organizations are located throughout the entire state. Simply type in the town or specific agency name you are looking to help. View the Holiday Wish List at the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy >>
The food banks and pantries in Middlesex County also need your help now and throughout the entire year as demand has increased dramatically. If you need food or would like to donate non-perishable food items to help others, find the food pantry in your town >>
