Children’s Community Book Fair: Black Voices, Bold Stories
Join us for the 2nd Annual Children’s Community Book Fair, a free, family-friendly event celebrating Black Voices and Bold Stories, presented in partnership with Middlesex United Way. Open to families and students from Pre-K through 12th grade, the fair invites young readers and their caregivers to explore diverse children’s literature that reflects a wide range of voices, cultures, and lived experiences.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy interactive reading sessions, engaging workshops led by authors and educators, and opportunities to connect with community partners who are committed to promoting literacy and equity. Middlesex United Way is proud to support this event as part of our shared commitment to expanding access to books, uplifting diverse stories, and creating opportunities for children and families across our community.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Beckham Hall at Wesleyan University, located at 45 Wyllys Avenue in Middletown. The event is free and open to the public, and registration is encouraged.
