2025 Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project

MCTP

The Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project (MCTP) is a collaboration of local nonprofits, faith communities, volunteers, and Middlesex United Way (serving as fiscal agent) working together so every Middletown family can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal, regardless of financial circumstances. This year, the need is at a record high with more than 1,000 families already registered, and organizers expect to serve about 1,100 families by Thanksgiving.

How You Can Help Right Now

Because the deadline for collecting food is fast approaching, monetary donations are the most helpful way to support the project at this time. Organizers will use donated funds to purchase turkeys and remaining food items in bulk so every registered family receives a complete holiday meal.

Middletown Police Department Turkey Drive

**Saturday, November 22nd Update: The Drive collected over 1,000 turkeys on Friday alone! The goal has already been met! Monetary donations are still being accepted for additional food items.**

The Middletown Police Department, Middletown Police Activity League (PAL), and Middletown Police Cadets are helping lead the charge to meet this year’s increased need for turkeys.

Turkey Drive Details:

  • Dates: Friday, November 21st & Saturday, November 22nd
  • Time: 10am to 6pm each day
  • Location: Stop & Shop, 416 E. Main Street, Middletown
  • Goal: Approximately 1,000 turkeys still needed to meet the need

*Note: Middletown Police will also be accepting any monetary donations during the turkey drive. Those donations will then be used to buy additional supplies needed to ensure all registered families are provided meals.
